Nebraska Lilacs
Nebraska is a lilac state
“Nebraska is nestled in the middle of the country, marked by expansive fields of corn, soybean, and wheat. Its landscape is dotted by cattle, an occasional farm pond, and too many gravel roads to count. Here, spring is a lovely season. The return of warmer weather is signified by the migration of the Sandhill Cranes, a sight to behold and one that words can do no justice.
Before the rural cemeteries become adorned with peonies in nearly every shade of pink and before the backyard rhubarb is ready to cut, the lilacs awaken once again, reminding us that the brutal winter months were worth it.
Although it’s known as the Cornhusker state, there’s no doubt that Nebraska is a lilac state, too. Our lilac roots run deep: the Sass family; the ‘Prairie Petite’ lilac; Lourene Wishart; and Max Peterson.”

For the love of the lilac
Lilacs have a way of connecting our past and present. They remind us of loved ones and time well spent. They’re the essence of nostalgia gardening.
Lilacs encourage us to embrace core memories and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
We dedicate our work to all-things Syringa, the lilac genus.
